Waterfall Braid

This is such a pretty 'do.  We were running late to summer theater, so I only did one braid, but I think it came out so pretty!  I found the idea here: http://www.princesshairstyles.com/2010/07/no-french-braid-floating-braid.html   Her  hair is still wet in the photos, and when it dried, it really fluffed out and looked even prettier, but you'll get the idea.

These photos didn't come out so great - but you get the idea.  This is such a pretty braid, and can be done on any length of hair!

Topsy Tail Rainbow Headband

This is an easy style that is adorable, and keeps your little girl's hair out of her face!!   Section the hair into six tiny ponies.  We chose rainbow colors (of course!).  When that is done, simply use the topsy tail tool to make the ponies lay flat.  That all!  Here is how it turned out:

Of course, when little miss is done, she needs a coffee break.  :)  J/K it's actually tea - and it was mine - but she grabbed it!  I have a feeling that I'm going to have teenage coffee or tea drinkers on my hands.  :)

I have a feeling that you'll be seeing lots of "headband" styles until little miss's hair grows in a bit.   That's okay - I love the way they look, and generally they stay in for a few days.

Funky Upside Down Piggies

I have to start off by saying that I never took a photo of the final "final" part of this 'do.  When I was done with the piggies, I  curled the ends - and it looked so cute!  Anyhow - you'll get the idea. This was a cute shorty 'do, but only lasted one day - by that night, it had fallen out.  First I made a piggie:

 

Then I put the topsy tail in upside down, and pulled the hair up and out.

I laid half of the pony off the left and half to the right, then added a bow in the center.

Once her hair was dry, I curled the ends - which was so adorable - but I forgot to take a photo of that part. Anyhow, a quick, easy 'do that looks sweet.  :)  Enjoy!

Two styles in one!

This past week has been a bit nutty around here. I want to be posting every day.  It's good for me to sit at the computer, alone, and do something I enjoy - blogging - each day.    I have a few "catch up" blogs to do, to get me current.  Sorry for the lack of posts lately.

The author of Adopt 'A 'Do wasn't kidding - the wrap around stayed in all day long! She even slept on it, and it was tight the next morning.   I love this new way to wrap hair!  Be looking for another post that shows it in another style soon...and as always, feel free to copy!!

A Rainbow of Puffy Braids - Headband

As you all know, my girl loves rainbows!!  When she came out with this shirt for the millionth third time this week (yes, it was clean each time), I figured I ought to do a 'do that went with it!!  I found this at one of my favorite sites: http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2008/08/puffy-braid-headband.html and did it almost exactly the same - just two minor differences.  The first difference is putting in six rows of puffy braids instead of five - so that we'd have a row for each color of the rainbow.  Secondly, do you see in her photos how the ends of her daughter's hair stick out a bit?  This is adorable on little girls - but when they get a little older and conscious about how their hair looks - Bee doesn't like it sticking out so much - there is a simple way to make them lay flat!  I used my "mini-tospy tail" on the ends of each puff braid like this:

Today is our last day of nice weather before some storms come in, and I expect we'll spend quite a bit of time outdoors today.   It's our first Friday after co-op ending, and it feels like we have all the time in the world!   Enjoy your babies today, and like always, feel free to copy!

Stay-At-Home-Hair

We decided to do an easy do today.  I've learned from the blogs I've been reading that you can literally make any "easy" hairstyle (like piggies) cuter by just adding a bit a flare.  A bow, a flower, or in this case, two tiny "tospy tailed" piggies which fed into the big piggies at the ends.  Seeing as we were just staying in today (but why not have cute hair??) we decided to copy this easy hair do from chic clips over at:  http://chic-clipshair.blogspot.com/   I've just discovered this blog, but I like what I see. Easy styles, with tons of cuteness!!
Here's our version of that do:

This literally took about five mintues once her knots were out.  We did this straight out of the shower, and I would suggest doing it with wet hair.  I love that it is a twist on a more plain hairstyle (piggies), and that it is out of her face!!!  A quick suggestion concerning the topsy tail - make your piggies a little looser than normal before you try to pull it through - you can always tighten them again after you flip - otherwise you might hurt your princess's (that doesn't look spelled right - ah, well, this isn't a spelling blog) head. As always, feel free to copy!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

My first copy cat entry has to be a hair style, as that is what made me want to do this blog in the first place.  Today's hairstyle comes to you from Mindy at http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/ .  Her blog is amazing, and her tutorials are really helpful when trying to figure out her adorable hair styles!!   In honor of Valentine's Day, here is how Miss Bee went to church this morning. 

  This is a pretty simple hair style. You simply need a comb, a topsy tail, two colored elastics, two butterfly clips, and six clear tiny elastics.  After making a part down the middle, make two very loose small pigtails.  Use the topsytail upside down, and split the hair in half - braiding each side. Secure each braid with a tiny elastic, then secure them both together with a third.  Then simply clip the butterfly clip at the bottom to make it look like a heart.  I sprayed with hairspray, but it had no problem staying in all morning.  Enjoy!
