Creative Piggies

I couldn't link to the site where I found this style, but it is on this mom's site: http://redpunzel.blogspot.com/search/label/Toddler If you scroll down to November21st, and look at the second photograph, that is what we copied today.   Here is how Bee's turned out:

This is will probably stay in again today, with a little smoothing and fixing of the piggies.
Enjoy the beautiful weather if you have it!

And Updo for shorty hair...

I have found that many moms who blog their "toddler styles" are easy to change up a bit for older girls with short hair. This mama has beautiful little red heads, and I got this idea from her: http://redpunzel.blogspot.com/2010/07/side-pony-and-braid.html   Here is how our's turned out:
Pretty cute, huh?
Our beautiful outdoor weather has given way to some much needed rain. Maybe we'll check something off of our Summer Fun List today...what are your plans?

Puffy Braid Headband for Short Hair

I'm pretty sure I've done this one before: http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2009/09/time-for-another-short-one.html but it looks so much cuter on her shorter hair!  It's a quick and easy style, and even with short hair, it lasted two days.  Here are our results!

Have a fantastic day, and remember to squeeze your babies and your main man today.  Today I'm going to say a prayer for everyone who reads this blog post. That your day will be blessed, and that you will see the hand of God througout all that you do.  Make today count!

Side Pony

For some reason, I couldn't link to this 'do directly, but it is the second one down on the link (as of today).  I love this style, but our's didn't turn out quite right. It was still cute however - and I would recommend it - it stayed in for three days!  Here's our version of this 'do: http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/

This weekend has been glorious. Beautiful weather, time outdoors with my family, and tomorrow a picnic.  I hope your weekend is equally as wonderful!  Enjoy your blessings,

Elastic Head Band

This one caught my eye right away!  http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2008/10/elastic-head-band.html  I love the styles with tiny elastics like this, because they tend to stay put in Bee's hair for a few days - and ease is what I'm all about!!   Here is how our version came out:

I used a curling iron to curl her ends, as she has naturally straight hair - the curlies didn't last too long, but the body did.

There you have it!  This one takes a little time, so if you try it, plunk your gal in front of her favorite TV show.  That's a trick of the trade around here!   Have a fantastic day!  T-minus two days until the talent show. There's a lot of work to be done around here!

More Wrap Around ponies...

I promised in the last post that I would post another with this hair style: http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/2010/04/hair-wrapped-ponytail.html in it.   I just love how easy it is, and how pretty it looks!   I can't believe the number of people who saw her like this, and asked, "how did you do that?"  It was fun to tell them how easy it was.

Here is how she wore it during the day:

I did a zig zag part - to give it a little something "extra".   :)

Later, for dance (where she needs to have her hair all pulled out of her face) - we just kept the style going.  I continued the zig zag part, and added in four more of the wrapped ponies.   This photo was taken after and hour long dance class, and her changing into her jammies (pulling a shirt over her head):

The held up pretty well!
Bridgette loves how quickly they go in, and said (this is huge for her) "they don't hurt at all!"   Hope everyone is having a great day. Our weather here is having an identity crisis.   I'm off to work on a talent show.
Have a good one, and as always, feel free to copy!

criss cross 'do into a side pony

Ugh. I've been sick - so my beautiful girl's rainbow 'do lasted a few more days than anticipated!   :0)  Thank heaven for hair styles that last several days!

I've been wanting to try this style http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/search/label/criss-cross%20do for a while now, and sadly, I didn't do it very well.  My problem was two fold - my part wasn't quite right (I didn't leave enough hair on the right side to continue the x's) and I used to much hair in each small pony - but live and learn, right?

It still turned out pretty cute- and today is day two of it with a different flower, so it also holds up well.  Anyhow, not so bad for coming off of feeling like death for three days.  :)

I hope you have all been well.  If there is a great hairstyle out there you've seen that you'd like me to try, or want tips on, let me know!

A Rainbow of Puffy Braids - Headband

As you all know, my girl loves rainbows!!  When she came out with this shirt for the millionth third time this week (yes, it was clean each time), I figured I ought to do a 'do that went with it!!  I found this at one of my favorite sites: http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2008/08/puffy-braid-headband.html and did it almost exactly the same - just two minor differences.  The first difference is putting in six rows of puffy braids instead of five - so that we'd have a row for each color of the rainbow.  Secondly, do you see in her photos how the ends of her daughter's hair stick out a bit?  This is adorable on little girls - but when they get a little older and conscious about how their hair looks - Bee doesn't like it sticking out so much - there is a simple way to make them lay flat!  I used my "mini-tospy tail" on the ends of each puff braid like this:
Here is the final look from all sides!  Can you see the rainbow?

Today is our last day of nice weather before some storms come in, and I expect we'll spend quite a bit of time outdoors today.   It's our first Friday after co-op ending, and it feels like we have all the time in the world!   Enjoy your babies today, and like always, feel free to copy!

Puffy Braid with a Twist

This is a combination 'do.  I can't site one place where I learned to do this.  It is a combination of a puffy braid headband, and a twist.   It turned out cute, but not my favorite - it is good for a quick easy 'do on the run.  Here are our results!

I hope you all have a fantastic day and enjoy the sunshine!  I know we will!  God Bless and as always, feel free to copy!
